Hi guys ,
Welcome back, so today I’m going to share our plans for our trip to Orlando in September ekkk.
So first things first here’s a link to an empty planner for 7,10 and 14 days you might need to log on to Facebook to access it.
ok so this is our plan so far, we arrive on Saturday September 7th at 2pm so we should have the whole day when we arrive. We usually pop to Walmart to grab the essentials like snacks & drinks to pack lunches for the park. We use Uber to get around so handy .Then we are planning to spend the day at the pool & head to Bahama breeze for dinner. It’s such a beautiful restaurant, definitely our favourite, the fire cracker shrimp is delicious, a must do in our books.
In planning this trip & any trip to Orlando there’s so much to consider like the time of year to go, school holidays, new attractions opening, public holidays, park opening hours so do your research because you definitely want to plan for the slowest time of the year if possible to make the most of your trip.
We planned our first trip for May & it was amazing but Disney world was so busy because they had 6 weeks of cheerleading competitions going on & we didn’t anticipate the crowd levels because we had no idea these events were going on so do some googling around your dates & check out the crowd levels.
Definitely check out the events page on WDW/ universal websites , you can also find info on attractions that are under going refurbishments & any special events that may be happening.
From August to October there are Halloween events in universal & Disney & we are going to attend both events this year so we’re so excited to go.
The first day we’ve planned to visit volcano bay just to ease ourselves into the madness of the theme parks plus water parks are sooo much fun, but it’s also weather dependent so we’ll see if it’s a stormy day because Orlando is so tropical you’re guaranteed a storm pretty much every day so pack your poncho.
The avanti offer a free shuttle to the parks so we’ll use that to get to city walk area & then you transfer to the bus to volcano bay, it’s really well sign posted so you won’t miss it.
For non universal hotel guests the park opens at 10am so we’re planning on taking the shuttle from our hotel at like 8am so we can grab a locker to store our bags & valuables.
Volcano bay closes at 7pm but we usually finish up at 5pm to get ahead of the crowds leaving. We’re planning on going to the outlets after volcano bay so we’ll grab a shower in the hotel & grab the i trolley out to the shops. We bought a 2 week pass for $18 so it’s great value & such a handy service.
We’re planning on heading to the premium outlets which is stop 1 on the i trolley, stop 2 is the market place outlets which has a lot of clearance stores so even cheaper, there’s a super cheap under armour there so much sports/gym wear.
We’ll probably go for dinner after, not sure where just yet but we love chillis , it’s always happy hour & the food is delicious.
Ok so Monday we’re checking into DISNEYYYY ekkk we’re staying in all star movies again & I can’t wait , literally too excited. We plan on getting a super early start by leaving i drive at 5.30am so we can get checked in our hotel. We can store our luggage until the room is ready & then we will get a notification to the my Disney app to let us know our room number & our bags will be there when we arrive, MAGIC.
We’re planning on heading to animal kingdom for extra magic hours, once you’re a hotel guest at Disney you get extra time at the parks ekkk.
The park opens at 7am & we’re planning on catching the Disney bus at 6am so we can be there at rope drop to get on flight of passage.
We’re planning on doing the safari , expedition Everest & dinosaur before hopping over to magic Kingdom. We usually split the time between two parks over a day & hoping to stay for the happily ever after fireworks which is an amazing show by the way … a must do.
Ok so we’re planning on braving Star Wars galaxys edge at 6am on Tuesday, it will be open about a week at that stage but I’m guessing it’s going to be crazy crowded.
Disney have tried to anticipate the high crowds by having extra magic hours every day in Hollywood studios. They are allowing guests extra 3 hours a day to enjoy the park from 6am-9am so we’re hoping to get to enjoy galaxys edge that day.
That evening we’ve mickeys not so scary Halloween , it starts at 7pm but with the ticket you can get in at 4pm usually. There’s trick or treating & a spooky parade & you get to dress as your favourite Disney character, how exciting ahhhh. The party usually runs until midnight but there’s a show at 12am so if you go to that you can stay a while longer.
“The spooky fun event, that happens on select nights from August 16 to November 1, will feature returning favorites along with all-new experiences, including the debut of an incredible new fireworks spectacular. As you can see above in the very first scene to be released, this new show will feature state-of-the-art projection effects, lasers, lighting and dazzling fireworks that come together to tell a not-so-scary story about how anything can happen on Halloween night. The show will take guests along on a trick-or-treating adventure, where four friends – Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Goofy – find themselves drawn into a mysterious haunted house. The journey takes them from one room of the house to another, encountering dancing skeletons, waltzing ghosts and a whole series of troublemaking Disney villains.”
Ok so we’ve planned to do the keys to the kingdom tour, I’m literally so excited.
This will probably take up most of the day so we’ve planned to head to Hollywood Studios to watch either the Star Wars fireworks or fantasmic to end the night & grab a bite to eat in Disney springs.
We’ve planned to hit star ways galaxys edge again, Paul is a massive Star Wars fan so we can’t go just once & were staying on site in Disney until Friday so we might as well that advantage. It’s another 6am opening so we’ll be up at 4am 🙈 that’s dedication but totally worth it.
We’ve planned on heading to Disney springs but might put that off until the evening, so might squeeze magic Kingdom in again, it’s my favourite park.
We’ve nothing planned for Friday morning but I’m sure we’ll pop out to animal kingdom again, Paul loves animal kingdom & flight of passage so we’ll try get on that again. We’re planning on going to Epcot to drink/eat around the world as it’s the food & wine festival while we’re there ekkk we’re so excited. The drinks are amazing in Epcot, they range from $8-$13 each but are super strong so be ware. We’ll be checking out of Disney this day so we’ll be going back to our hotel on i drive & probably fall into bed.
We’ve planned a rest day for Saturday so just completely chilling at the pool & some day drinks & unwinding after our Disney days & recharge the battery’s hopefully. To be honest we can ever really chill in Orlando there’s just so much to do & see , we might head to Halloween horror nights in the evening which is on in universal studios.
After our rest day we plan on heading to universal studios/ islands of adventure, we usually buy the 3 park ticket so we can hop between both parks & grab the hogwarts express.
We’ve kinda planned out the rest of the trip but we’ll probably just wing it to be honest , see what we feel like doing on the trip. I really like to spend a week in Disney & a week at universal studios because there’s just sooo much to do in both parks & they are so different & I just love them both so much . I plan on doing a daily vlog this time ekkkk so you’ll see pretty much everything but they’ll be only 15/20 minutes long & hopefully capture some of the Orlando magic for you guys .
I hope you enjoyed this post & it gives you some ideas & gets you excited for your next trip ekkk.
